  • The Ojito Wilderness Act, introduced in Congress in September 2003, would designate 11,000 acres of new wilderness northwest of Albuquerque, NM.
     
  • Bush Administration Formalizes Anti-Wilderness Policy

  • On September 29, 2003, the Bush administration issued a national policy guidance preventing the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) from inventorying or protecting wilderness-quality lands.
